SVP Board Actions

At its December, 2011 and January, 2012 meetings the SVP Board...

• Heard from Tony Ketterer that the recent open house was successful with several dozen visitors stopping to see and tour the theater.

• Selected "Thurber Carnival" as our Fall, 2012 show.

• Heard a report from the Play Reading Committee on selection of a small musical for spring 2013. Those currently under review are "A My Name is Alice", "Into the Woods", and "Spitfire Grill".

• Learned that Kathy Horton and Yolanda Staats will head up the Norskie Noodler trivia contest on February 18 at the Conservation Club.

• Approved $1000 for work on the heating ducts in the attic and improving heat distribution work under the stage to the seating area. Once the attic work is completed the insulation contractor can proceed.

• Dan Prueher, director for "The Odd Couple" reported that thirty-three people auditioned for the cast. Fifty percent were new to SVP. Nine women auditioned for two parts. The set is partially built and all production areas are moving forward.

• Scheduled the Annual SVP meeting for March 31st at Halverson's Restaurant at 6 PM. Board elections will take place to replace 3 or 4 directors retiring.  Brooke Hauser will organize some Annie cast members to present the entertainment part of the program.
