If you answered yes to any of these questions, you don’t want to miss the meeting on Thursday, November 11, 6:30, at the Stoughton Village Players Theater (255 East Main) to help launch a new theater group focused on kids. SVP is hosting the meeting for anyone in the community who wants to help create this new group.
The concept is simple: SVP has a beautiful historic theater (100 years old) and a strong group (50 years old) but there is so much more that could be done to involve kids and young families in theater skills, production and performing. The theater itself is open nearly all summer along with other times when shows aren’t being produced so this creates an opportunity for different types of programming.
This new group would be a separate organization determining their own goals and plans with SVP’s support and guidance as needed. Details such as age of children involved, types of offerings, timing, funding, next steps and many more topics will be discussed at the 11/11 meeting.
“We are looking for people who love kids, enjoy creating new things and will be enthusiastic about launching this new venture,” according to Dave Conour, SVP Board Vice President. “If you are new to Stoughton, this is an excellent way to get involved and meet like-minded folks.”
