Arsenic and Old Lace
October 15-18 & 22-24, 2015

Picture
Show Description:
Arsenic and Old Lace is a 1940's screwball comedy with a family of eccentrics in Brooklyn that include a brother that thinks he's Teddy Roosevelt, one that is a criminal that has had plastic surgery to hide his identity and looks like Boris Karloff, one cynical theater critic and two maiden aunts that help lonely men by giving them poisonous elderberry wine. Keeping everyone out of jail and still managing an engagement and multiple visits from the police is the crux of the plot. A sweet American standard but still with a subversive side.
