We will kick off our third summer of workshops next month!  Please see the descriptions below.  We plan to open registration soon.

We are using a different format this year -- each week will focus on one topic, meeting Monday through Friday.  Most sessions will have a Friday performance or sharing, and the instructor will provide more information at the first session.

We're looking for additional teachers so that we can add more sessions, so if you've ever wanted to dip your toes in, now is the time!  We're looking for a leader for script reading and middle school improv.  We're excited about potentially adding a session with the Stoughton Storytellers (and for adults interested in storytelling, check out Stoughton Storytellers - Odd Tales Theatre: Original Audio Dramas) More to come!

Registration will be limited to about 20 students per session.  When a session hits that limit, we will start a waitlist.

July 13th: Technical Theater 7-8pm (Grades 5-8) -- Sean Anderson
Learn about costumes, lights, sound, and props from guest experts who have worked on SVP and SYP shows. This session will be interactive, and parents are welcome to attend as well.

July 20th: Musical Theater
6-6:50pm Grades 1-5 -- Linda Kunz, Evie and Liz Itzen
Have fun with music and movement! "Zip-a-dee-doo-dah" and "Whistle While You Work".
7-8pm Grades 5-8 -- Linda Kunz and Timothy Riley
A full dynamic musical scene like previous years.

August 3rd: On stage basics and audition tips 6-6:50pm (Grades 3-8) -- Jennifer Heritsch
A welcoming, high‑energy workshop designed to help young performers feel confident, prepared, and excited to step into the spotlight. Participants learn essential on‑stage skills—body awareness, vocal projection, stage presence, and connecting with an audience—through fun, interactive activities. We also break down the audition process with practical tips on choosing material, calming nerves, and making a strong first impression.

August 17th: Improv 101 6-6:50PM (Grades 1-5) -- Jennifer Heritsch
This workshop introduces students to the core techniques of improvisational theatre. Through structured exercises and guided scene work, participants develop stage presence, emotional expression, quick thinking, and ensemble awareness.

Grade level is the grade the student is going into; please reach out if your child would fit well in a session outside their grade level.
