PRODUCTION NOTICE: SVP Auditions & Performances POSTPONED
Due to record daily numbers of COVID-19 cases in Dane County and for the safety of our volunteers & the public, Stoughton Village Players has made the unfortunate decision to cancel the Angel Street auditions slated for January 10-11 and postpone the production to a TBD later date. We will publicize new audition and performance dates as soon as the theater has more information. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding and support.

Badger Theater celebrates 100 years!
Stoughton Village Theatre celebrates its centennial
Stoughton Courier Hub
As you know, our theater opened in 1921 so we have lots of events, videos and other celebratory stuff happening this year. One interesting date is that the first movie shown at the Badger Theater (our predecessor) was Isobel on MARCH 29, 1921... almost exactly 100 years ago.

FOR THOSE WHO SUPPORT THEATER AND THE ARTS, HERE IS THE BEST GIFT OF ALL:
Like many in Stoughton and in our changed world, SVP was impacted by the coronavirus. We had to cancel The Foreigner (in 2020), which was six days away from opening (after eight weeks of rehearsal and set-building) and then our Syttende Mai show (which represents about half our annual income) was also cancelled along with the rest of our beloved festival.
People have asked how we are doing and what can they do to support SVP to make sure we can continue to be a center for local arts and entertainment. We have adjusted our plans and hope to get back onstage for our 2020/21 season. To help us get through this tough financial time, we offer four opportunities for your consideration (click the links below for details and photos):
1. Become a member ($20 annually)
2. Buy a dedication brick in the sidewalk in front of the theater ($100 and $300)
3. Buy a chair arm dedication plaque in the theater auditorium ($200)
4. Donate
Thanks to our audiences who have supported us through our nearly 50 years of existence. We look forward to seeing you soon.
